Kansas City, MO – A cool, gray, and damp weather pattern will persist into the new week across much of Missouri, according to the National Weather Service in Kansas City.
Forecasters say drizzle and light showers will continue through Sunday evening, with patchy heavier rain possible in parts of central Missouri. Skies will remain cloudy overnight, keeping lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Monday will bring mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers, with highs near 60°F, before a stronger storm system arrives late Monday night. Rain will become more widespread Tuesday into Wednesday, with totals generally between 0.25 and 0.75 inches expected across the region.
While no severe weather is forecast, breezy northwest winds will develop by midweek, gusting between 20–30 mph Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures will remain cool, with highs in the low to mid-50s and lows dipping into the upper 30s by Thursday morning.
Forecasters say the unsettled weather should ease later in the week, giving way to drier and slightly warmer conditions heading into the weekend.
Motorists should prepare for wet roads and reduced visibility at times, especially during Tuesday’s morning and evening commutes.
