Kansas City, MO – The next chance for rain moves into the Kansas City region Monday night, bringing light showers mainly to areas east of I-35. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain under one-tenth of an inch, and warm temperatures will continue through the rest of the week before another round of rain arrives Wednesday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, Monday will bring highs in the 56–66°F range, with increasing clouds during the afternoon before rain chances rise late Monday evening and into early Tuesday. The highest probabilities for rainfall fall across communities east of I-35, including Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs, Liberty, and portions of Jackson and Clay counties.

On Tuesday, conditions turn partly cloudy with highs warming between 58–69°F. Only isolated light showers may linger early in the day before dry weather returns. Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages thanks to a persistent warm pattern across Missouri and Kansas.

Wednesday continues the stretch of mild weather, with highs between 57–67°F under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. By Wednesday night, another system approaches from the west, bringing an increase in rain chances across the metro. Forecast confidence is growing for additional showers late Wednesday through early Thursday, though no hazardous weather is currently expected.

Rainfall totals both Monday night and midweek appear light, with most locations seeing well under one inch. Winds will remain generally calm, and no severe weather is anticipated.

Residents across Kansas City, Independence, Overland Park, Olathe, and surrounding areas are encouraged to keep an eye on midweek forecasts as additional rainfall timing becomes clearer.
