At Downtown Kansas City Airport, temperatures early Monday registered 24°F with northwest winds near 8 mph, producing a wind chill around 15°F. Skies will remain mostly clear overnight before sunshine returns Monday afternoon, bringing highs up to 39°F.

The NWS notes that well-below-normal temperatures will persist through early Tuesday, with the coldest morning lows in the upper teens to mid-20s across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

Conditions will begin moderating by Tuesday and Wednesday, as winds shift to the south and highs climb into the mid-60s. The warming trend continues through Friday, with temperatures nearing 70°F before a 20–40% chance of rain returns next weekend.
