KANKAKEE – With a little over a month to go before Christmas, the Kankakee Salvation Army has posted the 2022 Angel Tree Registry.

The Angel Tree program was created to ensure hope for local Kankakee families facing financial problems during the holiday season.  This year’s registry has been placed on Walmart’s website.

“With 20 Million American facing food insecurity and 7.1 million behind on rent, pandemic poverty is far from over. That’s why The Angel Tree program of Kankakee County is working hard to ensure that hope marches on this holiday season for local families in need.” Kankakee Salvation Army officials said in a statement.  “Consider making a generous contribution to The Salvation Army Angel Tree through the organization’s registry.”

On the registry you’ll find items local families have requested, including baby toys, clothes, action figures, gift cards and more.

The complete registry can be found here.
