Kankakee Resident Stabbed in the Face During Group Attack on Evergreen Avenue

Kankakee, IL – A man was stabbed in the face Wednesday night in a group attack while sitting outside a home on South Evergreen Avenue. The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 200 block of South Evergreen.

Witnesses and the victim told police that a group of people approached the home before one individual stabbed the victim. The group immediately fled the scene after the attack. The victim’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening, and he is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made, and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Kankakee Police Department as they work to identify the suspects involved. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
