Kankakee Police Investigate Shooting That Left 25-Year-Old Man Injured

Kankakee, IL – A 25-year-old man was shot multiple times Saturday afternoon in Kankakee, prompting a police investigation.

According to the Kankakee Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:19 p.m. in the 200 block of North Rosewood Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet and administered lifesaving aid before transporting him to a local hospital. He was later airlifted to a Chicago hospital for further treatment.

Detectives processed the scene and are actively searching for a vehicle involved in the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Kankakee Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 815-933-0426.
