KANKAKEE, Ill. – A wild scene unfolded at Riverside Medical Center early Thursday as a patient’s discharge turned violent.
Debra Marsh, a 65-year-old Kankakee resident, stands accused of a shocking assault on medical staff.
According to Kankakee city police reports, Marsh allegedly slapped a nurse across the face, scratched her neck, and then pursued her outside the room, striking her again. As if the scene wasn’t enough, when a second nurse attempted to intervene, Marsh allegedly spat directly into the nurse’s mouth.
Marsh has since been booked on charges of aggravated battery.
