Children of all ages are invited to participate in a festive Easter egg hunt hosted by The Salvation Army of Kankakee this Saturday, April 5th, 2025, on the Kankakee County Courthouse lawn.
According to event organizers, the egg hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at 450 E. Court St. in downtown Kankakee. Children will be grouped by age to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all: ages 2 and under, 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12.
Participants are encouraged to bring a basket and arrive early for the best egg-hunting opportunities. The event is sponsored by Arc at Bradley, with additional support from Kankakee United, Crown Temperature, and various local donors.
The Easter egg hunt has become a cherished annual tradition in Kankakee, drawing dozens of families for a morning of seasonal fun, community spirit, and colorful surprises hidden across the courthouse lawn.
