Kankakee, IL – In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month, the Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet will host a free community event focused on diabetes education, prevention, and health resources for older adults on November 10.
The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Community Cup Church, located at 900 W. Jeffery St. in Kankakee. Attendees can expect informational sessions, wellness discussions, and opportunities to connect with local health professionals who specialize in diabetes care and management.
Organizers say the program aims to help community members better understand diabetes risks, promote healthy living, and connect individuals with local support networks and medical resources.
