Kankakee, IL – Lace up, dive in, or grab your holiday sweater — the 35th Annual Jingle Bell Run returns to Kankakee this season, raising funds for the Arthritis Foundation. The community favorite kicks off with the Jingle Bell Swim at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Kankakee YMCA, followed by the main run and walk event at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Kankakee Community College.

According to organizers, the fundraiser unites hundreds of runners, walkers, and swimmers to “run, walk, or swim the legend,” with proceeds supporting arthritis research and local awareness efforts. Participants can register online at events.arthritis.org/JBRKANKAKEE.

Swimmers may contact Darlene Cipcich at 815-351-0822 for age group awards and event details. The day includes donated refreshments from Chicago Dough, Oberweis, Pepsi, and Jewel, as well as a costume contest and the popular Ugly Christmas Sweater competition.

All finishers receive medals, shirts, and goody bags, with prizes for top fundraisers. Packet pickup runs Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2–6 p.m. at KCC.
