Kankakee, IL – Kankakee City Police are actively investigating a reported robbery and assault that occurred on Tuesday night in the 900 block of E. Mulberry St.
According to the police report, the incident took place just before 7:30 p.m., when a man, walking in the area, was approached by two masked individuals inquiring about his jewelry. Following a brief interaction, a vehicle reportedly stopped nearby, and two additional men emerged, assaulting the victim before stealing his jewelry and credit card. The assailants then fled the scene.
