Kankakee, IL – The Civic Woods Showdown, a highly anticipated disc golf tournament, is happening Saturday, September 29, at the Civic Auditorium in Kankakee. Local disc golf enthusiasts are urged to register as soon as possible, as early bird registration ends today, with regular registration open until September 15.
According to the Kankakee Valley Park District, the tournament will feature a challenging 12-hole course with players completing two rounds. Participants can choose from three playing levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Notably, designated holes throughout the course will offer a 50/50 ace pot for $5 per shot, adding a thrilling chance to win while supporting a local charity if the pot remains unclaimed.
Each division will award trophies to the winner and runner-up. Pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt and a disc carrying bag, while regular registrants will also receive a T-shirt, while supplies last.
