Manteno, IL – A family-friendly festival honoring veterans and first responders is set to roll into Manteno this Sunday with motorcycles, hot rods and a full day of food and entertainment.
Project Headspace and Timing will present its annual “Heroes, Hogs & Hot Rods” celebration on Sunday, June 1, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free event will span Main Street and The Square on 2nd in downtown Manteno and includes attractions for all ages.
According to event organizers, highlights will include a veteran-focused car, bike, truck and golf cart show, strongman competition, Air Force simulator, and a bean bag tournament. Live music from the All American Throwbacks, multiple food trucks, a BBQ competition, and craft vendors will also be featured throughout the day.
In addition to the entertainment, visitors can explore a mental health and community resource fair, part of the event’s broader mission to support veteran wellness. Adults looking to unwind can visit the Big Fellas Cigar Lounge and enjoy outdoor bar service, available with a $10 wristband purchase.
All proceeds from the event go to Project Headspace and Timing, a nonprofit dedicated to improving veteran mental health through engagement and community building across Kankakee County and beyond.
Wristbands and commemorative merchandise such as patches and koozies will be available for purchase on site while supplies last.
