Manteno, IL – Manteno’s annual Oktoberfest is set to take over downtown this fall, running Thursday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 28, with carnival rides, food vendors, garage sales, and the community’s signature lighted parade.

According to the Manteno Chamber of Commerce, Fantasy Amusements will provide carnival rides beginning Thursday evening. Ride credits will be available for purchase on-site, with single credits starting at $1.30 and bulk packages up to 72 credits for $100. Unlimited ride wristbands will also be offered at $30–$35 each, depending on the day.

Festival hours are scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday, Sept. 25: 5–10 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 26: 4–10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 27: Noon–10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 28: Noon–5 p.m.

The popular Manteno Oktoberfest Garage Sale Days return Sept. 26–28, marking the 27th annual event. Residents can register their homes as “Featured Houses” to be included on the official shopping map. Late registration runs Sept. 8–12, with a $25 fee payable by cash or check at Manteno Village Hall.

In addition, festival organizers are still accepting applications for food vendors, street vendors, entertainment acts, and parade entries through the Manteno Chamber’s website.

The Oktoberfest parade, live music, and local food will round out the weekend’s attractions, expected to draw families from across Kankakee County and beyond.
