Kankakee, IL – Clove Alliance is inviting student and adult artists to participate in the 4th annual Brave, Bold, and Believed Art Show at the Kankakee County Museum.
This event celebrates the journey of survivors of sexual violence and supports efforts to end it. Artists are encouraged to submit original works that embody themes of empowerment, strength, resilience, and survivorship. Cash prizes are available for winners in various categories.
According to the event details, submissions are open for artists in two divisions: students in 7th to 12th grades and adults aged 18 and above. Artists may submit up to two pieces, either two-dimensional or three-dimensional, adhering to specific size and weight limits. The submission window is March 20th and 21st, with no late entries accepted.
The opening reception, free to the public, is scheduled for April 4th, featuring an awards ceremony and the start of the month-long exhibition. In addition to the Judge’s Choice and Clove’s Choice awards, a People’s Choice Award will be determined by community votes and announced on May 3rd.
Sales of artwork are optional, with Clove Alliance retaining a 25% commission. All artwork must remain on display until the end of the show, with pickup scheduled for May 6th.
