Kankakee County, IL – A Saturday night party in rural Pembroke Township turned violent, leaving a 21-year-old man stabbed twice and hospitalized.
Authorities responded to a call around 10:17 p.m. reporting a stabbing near 2200 S 14490E Road. Upon arrival, deputies located the injured man and began emergency aid. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators worked quickly, interviewing witnesses and conducting follow-ups to identify the suspect, 52-year-old Juan Carlos Valdez-Pizarro of Pembroke Township. On Tuesday, Valdez-Pizarro was arrested and is being held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center. A bond hearing is pending.
