Kankakee County, IL – Following tips from the public, a Bourbonnais man and a Chicago man have been arrested on alleged drug and weapons charges after a significant multi-agency raid on a Bourbonnais home. The collaborative effort by the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG), alongside the U.S. Marshals Service, the ATF, and the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department, targeted a residence at 37 Berry Lane.

According to authorities the operation, executed on Tuesday, reportedly resulted in the seizure of approximately 2,200 grams of suspected cannabis, 143 grams of suspected THC wax, 28 grams of believed cocaine, and MDMA. Additionally, four handguns were discovered at the scene.

Luis G. Olivera, 29, of Bourbonnais, and Christian Almanza, 25, of Chicago, face multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of controlled substances and the unlawful possession of firearms.
