Kankakee, IL – A candlelight vigil will take place Thursday to raise awareness about domestic violence. Harbor House, a domestic violence agency serving Kankakee and Iroquois counties, is hosting its 6th annual Candlelight Vigil on the Kankakee Courthouse lawn at 6:30 p.m. The event aims to unite the community and support victims and survivors.

Harbor House has been a dedicated resource for those affected by domestic violence, providing shelter and counseling services. They also offer a 24-hour chatline, available at 815-932-5800, for anyone in need of assistance.

The vigil is expected to be a powerful moment, giving the Kankakee community a chance to stand together against domestic violence. Organizers encourage the public to attend and show support for survivors while raising awareness about available resources.
