Kane County Man Faces Multiple Drug and Weapons Charges

St. Charles, IL – A local man faces several felony charges after a large drug and weapons seizure. Authorities have charged Michael T. Sund with multiple offenses, including unlawful possession of controlled substances and firearms.

According to Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser, Sund allegedly possessed over 200 grams of psilocybin and more than 2,000 grams of cannabis with intent to distribute. He also faces charges related to the possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine and less than 50 grams of Xanax.

Authorities recovered 24 guns from Sund’s home, including three unserialized machine guns and 5,000 rounds of ammunition.

Sund remains in custody at the Kane County Jail while awaiting his next court appearance on Friday, September 6, at the Kane County Judicial Center.
