According to the Elgin Police Department, the crash happened around 7 a.m., leading to closures on State Street between Chicago Street and National Street as investigators worked at the scene.
Initial reports indicate the crash involved a silver truck and a landscaping company trailer that sustained visible damage near the tracks. A freight train was stopped nearby following the collision.
