Marmet, WV – Authorities in Kanawha County are asking for the public’s help identifying three people accused of stealing a wallet from a grocery store parking lot and using the victim’s debit card for fraudulent purchases.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on December 13, 2025, Saturday, around 4 p.m., at the Marmet Kroger parking lot in Kanawha County, just southeast of Charleston, West Virginia.

Investigators say a woman accidentally left her wallet inside a shopping cart. Shortly afterward, a silver four-door sedan pulled into the parking lot. Authorities allege the front passenger exited the vehicle, took the wallet, and left the scene with two male passengers inside the car.

The sheriff’s office released images of the female driver and two male suspects, who are believed to be involved in the theft.

According to investigators, one of the suspects allegedly used the victim’s debit card to complete three fraudulent DraftKings transactions, totaling approximately $250.

No arrests have been announced, and police say the case remains under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals or the vehicle involved to come forward.
