Surry, NH – A juvenile passenger was airlifted to a trauma center following a serious single-vehicle crash in Surry on Monday.

According to New Hampshire State Police, the crash occurred at 3:49 p.m. on Pond Road. Troopers discovered a heavily damaged 2011 Nissan Altima with a juvenile passenger trapped inside. Surry and Keene Fire Departments extricated the passenger, who was initially taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene with serious injuries before being flown to a trauma center.

The juvenile driver, who was unharmed, was cited for speeding. The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Trooper James Lamoureux at James.D.Lamoureux@DOS.NH.GOV.
