Deputies say Brady M. Sloan, 55, was charged with Reckless Endangerment and Domestic Assault following an incident that occurred on Thursday, Oct. 17, on Rhetts Way in Jonesborough.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call around 8 p.m. The victim reportedly told officers that Sloan had made threats against both of their lives. Investigators discovered a spent shell casing inside the home’s garage, and a neighbor confirmed hearing what sounded like a gunshot earlier that evening.
Deputies later located a 9mm handgun inside a bag on the front passenger seat of a vehicle at the residence. The sheriff’s office said the barrel of the firearm was still warm, and the ammunition matched the casing found in the garage.
Sloan was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $15,000. He has since posted bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Oct. 20.
