Joliet, IL – Two Joliet teens, Louis Jones and Dakoda Ulmer, both 18, have been arrested on multiple charges including aggravated vehicular hijacking and burglary to motor vehicle.
According to Joliet Police reports the series of alleged crimes occurred on Thursday beginning with a vehicular hijacking at 6:03 p.m. in the 600 block of Darcy Avenue. The suspects allegedly threatened a pregnant woman and her daughter, stealing a Mazda CX9, pressing a handgun into the stomach of the 32-year-old victim.
The stolen vehicle was later found by Tactical Officers. After a pursuit, the suspects collided with a parked truck, leading to their arrest. A loaded handgun and stolen items were recovered from the vehicle. An investigation also connected the suspects to other crimes in the area, including an attempted vehicular hijacking and multiple vehicle burglaries.
