Joliet, IL – A tragic shooting at the Pheasant Run Apartments in Unincorporated Joliet Township has left one individual dead.
The Will County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday, January 21st, deputies were called to the scene at approximately 4:27 p.m., where they discovered a person suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Emergency personnel, including the East Joliet Fire Department, attempted life-saving measures but were unable to save the victim, who was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The area has been secured as a crime scene, and investigations are underway.
