Families in Joliet who need food assistance will have the opportunity to receive support at a Mobile Food Pantry later this week.
According to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, the event will take place Friday, September 5, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, located at 205 E. Jackson St. in Joliet. Food distribution will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The organization stated that the pantry is open to anyone in need of assistance, and no pre-registration is required. Volunteers will distribute fresh produce and other essential groceries to individuals and families on a first-come, first-served basis.
