Jefferson County, CO – A stolen Chevy Silverado led Jefferson County deputies on a tense pursuit Friday morning through the Evergreen area before ending near Morrison Road and C-470, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that the driver allegedly attempted to evade capture by weaving through side streets and back roads. “With the help of well-placed stop sticks, we were able to slow the vehicle down after disabling multiple tires,” the department stated in a release.
A sheriff’s sergeant then used a Grappler Police Bumper to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop. Authorities say the suspect made a final attempt to flee on foot but was tased and taken into custody without further incident.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect had an active warrant and was allegedly driving under restraint. The individual now faces several charges, including aggravated motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding, resisting arrest, careless driving, and possession of a controlled substance.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and deputies credited teamwork for the safe resolution.
