Jasper County, MO – Two men are facing felony burglary charges following a months-long investigation into repeated break-ins at an unoccupied residence in Sarcoxie, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, the burglaries occurred between October 2025 and January 5, 2026, when the vacant home was allegedly broken into several times and items were taken from inside. Investigators said the homeowners later installed surveillance cameras, which captured images of two men allegedly stealing copper tubing from the basement area of the residence.
Authorities said the images helped investigators positively identify the suspects during the investigation. On January 14, both men were located and taken into custody in connection with the case.
The suspects were identified by the sheriff’s office as Scott M. Brogan, 30, of Carthage, and Bryske A. Blair, 32, also of Carthage. According to officials, charges for both men were submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office and subsequently approved.
Brogan was charged with second-degree burglary and issued a $15,000 bond, according to court records. Blair was also charged with second-degree burglary but received a $50,000 bond, officials said.
The case remains under the jurisdiction of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. No additional suspects have been announced, and authorities did not release further details about the value of the stolen items.
Anyone with additional information related to the case is encouraged to contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
