Rensselaer, IN – Drivers traveling north on I-65 Tuesday morning are facing major delays after a semi-truck rollover near Rensselaer.

According to the Indiana State Police Lowell Post, the crash occurred around the 218-mile marker, roughly three miles north of Rensselaer. The semi was hauling pallets of bottled water and other drinks when it overturned, compromising the trailer and spilling its load along the roadway.

Police say the cleanup process will take several hours due to the extent of the spill and the need to remove debris safely. Motorists should expect lane closures and significant backups in the area.

No serious injuries have been reported, but drivers are urged to avoid the stretch of I-65 northbound near mile marker 218 and to plan alternate routes until the scene is cleared.

Traffic updates will be provided by Indiana State Police and local radio partners as the cleanup continues throughout the morning.
