Florida wakes up to damp pavement and a cool 50s breeze, and drivers along I-95 and I-295 are already seeing patchy wet roads after light showers moved through at daybreak. The air feels crisp but not cold, with temperatures climbing out of the lower 50s and aiming for the mid-70s by mid-afternoon. If you’re heading out this morning, keep headlights on and allow extra braking distance on slick stretches.

According to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, a 30% chance of showers lingers through late morning before skies gradually brighten. Southwest winds near 10 mph will ease as drier air filters in. Highs reach near 75 degrees, several degrees above mid-February averages.

Clouds thin tonight, and temperatures settle back to the mid-50s under mostly cloudy skies. Sunshine returns in full force by Friday, with highs near 69 degrees and light winds — a pleasant setup heading into Valentine’s Weekend Feb. 13-15. Saturday turns even milder, pushing into the lower 70s with filtered sun.

A few showers may redevelop Sunday afternoon, with rain chances increasing into early next week as a more active pattern develops. For now, no winter weather concerns here, but brief wet roads could return by late weekend.

Looking ahead 6–10 days, above-normal temperatures dominate much of the Southeast. Highs may trend into the upper 70s by early next week before a midweek system brings additional rain chances. Signs of spring are beginning to show.
