Jacksonville, FL – Beachgoers across Northeast Florida face another day of dangerous surf and minor flooding as a Coastal Flood Advisory and High Rip Current Risk remain in effect through early Tuesday, October 14. The National Weather Service in Jacksonville warns that strong currents and higher tides could make beach access and low-lying roads hazardous for morning travelers.

According to the National Weather Service, flooding of lots, parks, and coastal roads may occur, especially during high tide. Drivers are urged to allow extra time, avoid flooded areas, and never drive through standing water. Swimmers should stay near lifeguards, and those caught in a rip current should relax, float, and swim parallel to the shore.

Despite the rough start to the week, Jacksonville’s weather turns sunny and stable by midweek. Tuesday will bring highs near 82°F with light north winds. Wednesday remains clear and breezy, with highs around 79°F and gusts up to 20 mph.

Looking ahead, Thursday through Saturday will stay sunny with highs in the upper 70s to near 80°F — ideal for outdoor fall activities, pumpkin patch visits, and early Halloween decorating.

Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts and beach conditions before heading out this week.
