Jackson, KY – A cold front and upper-level disturbance are set to clear the area today, leaving behind drier conditions but cooler temperatures. According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Kentucky, the region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with rain expected throughout much of the day, particularly in the morning. The greatest chances for rainfall will be south of Interstate 64, with the lowest chances north of the interstate. Temperatures today are expected to reach highs between 52°F and 58°F.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies in areas west of a line from Middlesboro to Morehead, with partly to mostly cloudy conditions in the eastern parts of the region. The low temperatures will range from 30°F to 38°F, with highs reaching 54°F to 60°F.
Sunday will see mostly sunny weather with warmer temperatures, as highs are predicted to range between 64°F and 72°F. The lows will be slightly cooler, from 30°F to 39°F.
