Omaha, NE – Residents of Omaha and surrounding areas in Nebraska and western Iowa should prepare for isolated thunderstorms early next week. The National Weather Service in Omaha has forecasted that showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Sunday night, with some storms possibly becoming strong in northeast Nebraska.
According to the weather service, below-normal temperatures will persist into early next week. Sunday’s high is expected to range from 74 to 80 degrees, with a 50-80% chance of storms. The temperatures will drop to a range between 53 and 60 degrees overnight. As the week progresses, Monday and Tuesday will bring slightly warmer conditions, with highs in the low 80s and a 20-40% chance of showers.
Mid-week, Wednesday through Friday, the area will continue to experience a mix of clouds and sun, with a 15-30% chance of thunderstorms each day. Temperatures are expected to rise gradually, reaching the mid-to-upper 80s by the latter part of the week.
