Sioux Falls, SD – Residents can expect slightly cooler temperatures this weekend as isolated thunderstorms are anticipated from Friday through Monday. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls reports that temperatures will remain below normal for this time of year.

According to the National Weather Service, the chance of rain will increase by Friday, with scattered afternoon and evening storms expected through the weekend. Friday’s high is forecasted to be around 80 degrees with a 40% chance of rain. The temperature will drop slightly to the upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday, with continued scattered storm chances at 30%. By Monday, temperatures will rise back to the low 80s with a 30% chance of rain.

Despite the rain chances, not everyone will experience rain over the weekend. The forecast highlights that it will not be a washout, and many areas will remain dry. Cooler morning temperatures are also expected, with lows in the low 60s.
