Iroquois County, IL – A supercell thunderstorm passed through Iroquois County early Tuesday, causing significant damage. The Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is requesting residents to report any wind damage, downed trees, crop damage, or large hail sightings from Ashkum through Wellington.

According to the Iroquois County EMA, the storm, which brought 2-inch hail and winds up to 80 mph, moved through the county around 3:30 a.m. The EMA emphasizes the importance of reporting damage via social media or direct calls to help compile information for the National Weather Service in Chicago. Residents are urged to remain safe while assessing and reporting any damage.
