Quad Cities, IA/IL – Quiet weather will transition into colder conditions midweek, with a chance of snow arriving Wednesday. Overnight lows tonight will drop into the low to mid-30s under partly cloudy skies.
According to the National Weather Service, a fast-moving weather system could bring the first snowflakes of the season Wednesday afternoon. Highs will range from 40 to 48 degrees during the day, before dropping to lows between 25 and 30 degrees at night.
The weather system has a 20–30% chance of producing rain or snow showers, but no accumulation is expected. Thursday’s weather will improve slightly, with partly sunny skies and highs reaching the upper 30s to low 40s.
Residents are advised to prepare for colder temperatures and keep an eye on updated forecasts. While no travel impacts are expected, road surfaces could become slick if temperatures drop below freezing.
