Davenport, IA – A warming trend will bring relief to the Quad Cities this weekend before rain chances increase midweek along the Illinois-Iowa border.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be sunny with a high near 35°F, but wind chills will make it feel much colder early in the morning. By Sunday, highs will reach 43°F under mostly sunny skies. Southwest winds will remain steady at 5 mph.
Monday and Tuesday will continue the warm-up, with highs around 50°F. Skies will remain mostly sunny Monday before increasing clouds on Tuesday. A 30% chance of rain develops late Tuesday night, rising to 40% on Wednesday. Travelers along I-74 and I-80 should prepare for wet roads by midweek.
Lows will stay above freezing after Sunday night, reducing the risk of ice but creating damp, foggy conditions in some areas. By Thursday, the rain will clear, with highs in the upper 40s under partly sunny skies.
Residents should check for updates as the system moves in. Follow the National Weather Service and local alerts for the latest conditions.
