However, a shift in wind direction will bring relief by the weekend, pushing temperatures into the upper 30s and mid-40s by Sunday.
The cold snap is part of an ongoing arctic air mass that has gripped the region, with overnight lows plummeting as low as -10°F to -15°F in some areas. By Saturday, daytime highs will climb to the upper 20s and low 30s, signaling the start of a warming trend. Sunday will see the most significant improvement, with highs ranging from 38°F to 44°F.
