Davenport, IA – Residents of the Iowa Quad Cities can look forward to a beautiful summer day today, with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s. The mostly sunny skies provide an ideal backdrop for outdoor plans this weekend. However, the pleasant weather is set to shift early next week.

According to the US National Weather Service Quad Cities, the weather pattern will become active again on Sunday and Monday with several chances of showers and thunderstorms. Sunday’s temperatures are forecasted to peak in the low to mid-80s, with a 15-60% chance of showers and storms, particularly in the early morning hours in eastern Iowa.

The unsettled weather continues into Monday, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the mid-60s. There’s a 40-60% chance of showers and storms throughout the day. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for parts of the region, effective until 11 PM CDT on Saturday, July 6.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be partly cloudy, with highs around 81-82 degrees. Thursday and Friday will continue the trend of pleasant weather, with temperatures in the low to mid-80s and partly cloudy skies. By Saturday, highs will approach the upper 80s.
