DAVENPORT, Iowa — Residents across the Quad Cities can expect a stretch of comfortable weather through midweek, with mild afternoons, plenty of sunshine, and only passing clouds. After a season of weather swings, the calm pattern will be a welcome change heading into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, temperatures will climb each day, starting in the low 70s Saturday before rising to the upper 70s and even low 80s by Tuesday. Light winds and minimal cloud cover will make Sunday the standout day, described as the most pleasant in the stretch.

Saturday will see highs between 63 and 71 degrees under partly sunny skies. Sunday follows with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and nearly cloud-free skies. By Monday, warmth returns with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s, and Tuesday pushes even warmer into the lower 80s.

The calm weather will favor outdoor plans, local events, and travel across both sides of the Mississippi River, with no major disruptions expected. Authorities note the dry stretch is also helpful for farmers and outdoor workers wrapping up late-summer tasks.

The quiet pattern will hold until at least midweek, when a slight increase in humidity and unsettled conditions could return.
