Davenport, IA – The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says the region will enjoy seasonable fall weather through the weekend before a system brings better chances for rain early next week.
Saturday and Sunday will feature mostly dry skies with occasional clouds and mild temperatures. Highs are expected to reach the mid-50s to mid-60s, while nighttime lows fall into the upper 30s to mid-40s.
A few isolated sprinkles may develop tonight and Sunday night, mainly in southern Iowa and western Illinois, though most areas will stay dry. By Tuesday, rain chances will increase to 40–60%, marking the region’s best opportunity for measurable rainfall through midweek.
Temperatures will dip slightly behind the system, keeping highs in the 50s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
The NWS says no severe weather is expected, but residents should plan for cooler, damp conditions to return after the weekend.
