Davenport, IA – Warm and breezy conditions are setting up a springlike weekend across eastern Iowa and western Illinois, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s today and pushing into the low 80s by Saturday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, highs will reach between 69 and 79 degrees Friday, followed by even warmer conditions Saturday with highs ranging from 71 to 81 degrees. Dry weather will dominate through most of the weekend, making for favorable outdoor conditions.
Cities including Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, and Clinton will see steady warming through Saturday, with mild overnight lows in the 40s to upper 50s. Winds may become breezy at times, but no significant travel impacts are expected on major routes like I-74 and I-80.
By Sunday, a cold front moves through, bringing a noticeable cooldown with highs ranging from the mid-50s to upper 70s early before falling later in the day. Cooler air settles in by Monday, with highs dropping into the upper 40s to mid-50s.
The stretch remains mostly dry into early next week, with additional updates expected if conditions change with the passing front.
