Moline, IL – Rain is on the way for the Quad Cities, with showers expected Thursday afternoon and continuing into Friday. Temperatures will stay mild but drop over the weekend, making for a chilly start to February.

According to the National Weather Service, a 40% chance of rain develops Thursday afternoon as clouds increase. Highs will reach near 50°F, with winds gusting up to 20 mph. Rain becomes more widespread overnight, with an 80% chance of showers and temperatures falling to 37°F.

Friday will bring steady rainfall, tapering off by the evening. Highs will be around 44°F before dropping to 27°F overnight under partly cloudy skies. The weekend looks drier but cooler, with highs in the low 40s Saturday and warming to 51°F by Sunday.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads Thursday night into Friday. If traveling, allow extra time for reduced visibility and wet conditions.
