Davenport, Iowa – A stretch of steamy, dry weather is taking hold across the Iowa-Illinois border, with heat and humidity ramping up through Friday and afternoon “feels-like” temps pushing near 100°F by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, highs will climb daily—from the low 80s on Tuesday to near 90°F by Friday. Humidity will sharply increase beginning Wednesday, setting the stage for a heat index of 95–100°F by Thursday afternoon, especially south of Interstate 80.

Cities including Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline should prepare for increasingly uncomfortable outdoor conditions, particularly during peak afternoon hours. While most of the region will stay dry, there’s a slight chance for an isolated shower today, mainly south of I-80.

Drivers and outdoor workers are urged to stay hydrated and limit strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day. Overnight lows will offer little relief, hovering in the upper 60s to low 70s.

This warm, muggy trend is expected to hold through the end of the workweek, with little rain in sight until at least the weekend.

Five Day Forecast for Davenport, Iowa:
