Davenport, IA – Cooler and calmer weather settles into the Quad Cities region tonight following the passage of a cold front, bringing a more seasonal pattern through much of Sunday and early Monday, according to the National Weather Service Quad Cities office.

According to forecasters, tonight will feature mostly clear skies with lows dropping into the upper 20s across northern counties and the mid-30s farther south. Sunday remains dry with sunshine but cooler afternoon temperatures, ranging from 49 degrees north to the mid-50s south across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois.

Clouds begin to increase Monday as the next weather system approaches from the west. Highs will climb into the upper 40s to mid-50s, but conditions are expected to remain dry until late in the day.

Rain chances grow steadily Monday evening and become more likely Monday night as moisture spreads across the region. The NWS notes this system should bring light to moderate rainfall to communities including Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, Clinton, Muscatine, and Galesburg.

Travel impacts appear minimal during daylight hours Monday, though wet roads are expected Monday night and into early Tuesday. Temperatures will remain seasonable through the start of the week with no significant wind or severe weather concerns.
