Quad Cities, IA/IL – Mostly sunny skies on Saturday will shift as a wet weather pattern arrives in the Quad Cities area beginning Saturday night and continuing through Tuesday, bringing showers, isolated thunderstorms, and colder overnight lows.
According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities, afternoon highs on Saturday will reach between 48°F and 59°F before clouds increase. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop late Saturday evening, with overnight temperatures dropping into the upper 30s to mid-40s.
Sunday brings a 50-80% chance of rain throughout the day with highs climbing into the lower 60s, followed by a dramatic dip in temperatures Sunday night, reaching as low as 27°F. The pattern continues with cooler highs on Monday in the upper 40s to mid-50s, along with additional chances for precipitation into Tuesday.
Residents across eastern Iowa and western Illinois should monitor conditions closely. Travel may become slick overnight, and rapidly changing temperatures could stress outdoor infrastructure and agriculture.
