Deputies responded around 9:49 a.m. on October 28, 2025, to Kornhill Road near J Avenue, about one mile south of town. Investigators said Brady Keith Fettkether, 25, of Aurora, was driving a 2023 Peterbilt semi pulling a 2023 Wilson trailer westbound when he attempted to pass Bryce Kenneth McKee, 29, of Calmar, who was operating a John Deere 8R 410 tractor with a liquid manure injector attached.
According to the sheriff’s report, McKee was turning southbound at the time of the collision. The semi sustained no damage, but the trailer was estimated to have $1,500 in damage. The tractor suffered about $2,500 in damage, while the manure injector appeared unharmed.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The sheriff’s office said the incident remains under investigation.
