Riverside, CA – Southern California residents are facing another day of unseasonably hot weather, as the National Weather Service maintains Heat Advisories across inland valleys through 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, Oct. 29.
The advisory covers Orange County’s inland communities, the Inland Empire, and the valleys of San Diego County, where temperatures between 90°F and 96°F are expected. The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard office also issued a Heat Advisory for the Lake Casitas and Ojai Valley areas, where highs could reach the mid-90s.
Forecasters warn that the warm, dry conditions—fueled in part by Santa Ana winds—pose a risk of heat-related illness, particularly for seniors, outdoor workers, and those without access to air conditioning.
Residents are urged to:
- Stay hydrated and limit strenuous activity outdoors.
- Check on elderly relatives and neighbors.
- Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles, even briefly.
Temperatures are expected to ease slightly Thursday as onshore flow increases, but inland areas will remain warmer than average through the weekend.
