Fredericksburg, IN — A 67-year-old Indianapolis woman died, and a Louisville man sustained severe injuries after a motorcycle and car collision Saturday on US-150 near Becks Mill Road. The crash involved a trike-style Honda motorcycle and a 2002 Toyota Corolla.
According to the Indiana State Police, the motorcycle was traveling eastbound when the Toyota pulled out from a private driveway onto the highway. The vehicles collided, ejecting both the motorcycle driver and passenger. Tragically, the passenger, Theresa Marie Spencer of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle driver, a Louisville resident, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. The Toyota’s driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem, Indiana.
The roadway remained closed during the investigation. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be contributing factors. Authorities are continuing their investigation with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
The family of the deceased has been notified.
