Indianapolis, Ind. – Central Indiana will see a stretch of sunny and unseasonably warm weather through Sunday, with highs near 90 degrees and dry skies across the region. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis reports overnight lows will remain mild, hovering near 70 degrees, offering little relief from daytime heat.
According to the NWS, Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 87 to 91 degrees across Marion, Hamilton, and surrounding counties. Humidity will stay moderate, but officials still advise residents to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat.
Drivers should remain aware that the heat can cause increased pavement temperatures, which may lead to vehicle overheating or tire blowouts on longer trips. Outdoor events in Indianapolis, Carmel, and Bloomington are expected to run without rain interruptions, though shaded seating and sunscreen will be essential.
Warm weather will continue until at least early next week, with no significant rain chances on the horizon. The NWS says updates will be issued if any heat advisories become necessary.
